Hi there! So, this is a thing I'll be trying to do every week kind of explaining what I've been up to, what I plan on doing/making, what I've been working on so far, and my opinions on things that I've watched so far in the week/had the time to watch.

So, starting off with what I've been up to! For the first time this week, I had a bit of free time in my schedule from writing something that I'll be talking about later in the blog yesterday, so, today, I picked up the TV remote for once and actually guided through the channels and found that Steven Universe was OnDemand for me. Amongst other things I had to pick from, Dragon Ball Z Kai was there, along with Naruto Shippuden, Attack on Titan and One Piece, none of which I really wanted to watch. So, I decided to give Steven Universe a chance and watch the episode "Sworn to the Sword" as the first episode I've watched of Steven Universe in full, and holy shit, I can honestly say I don't regret it.

My Recap on the Episode I watched: [SPOILERS FOR "SWORN TO THE SWORD".][]

If you haven't seen it, be sure to watch it.

You were warned. Anything you read from here down is spoiler territory.

The episode's pretty nice to begin with, it's basically Steven and Connie bonding together, singing a song with a guitar and a violin, and it kind of captures their friendship perfectly for people who haven't watched the show in full anyway. I can assume the name of the song is actually "Jam Buds", and it's pretty cool. Pearl agrees to Connie to swordfight. That's pretty cool! Woohoo.  "Do It for Her" (I can assume that's the name of the song??) is an extremely catchy piece and it was something I really liked from the get-go.

Steven being protective of Connie is cute.

Also, for someone who's first time it is watching the show, you can tell that Pearl's got something for Rose. It's very obvious in her flashback/hologram memory. Is that why she's so protective of Steven? That's her son? Also, the line: "You just think about the life you have after the war", I can assume is another symbol of Rose and Pearl being a bit symbolic of something more.  "When you live for someone you would die for" is another one. I'm thinking Pearl's got a crush on Rose. Is there anything else that supports this at this point?

"How to talk to People: The Book" was favorite.

Amethyst is easily one of my favorites just by saying something in a monster voice.

Pearl being so protective of Rose is REAAAALLY getting to me.

Connie's new way of thinking is pretty fucked up. Steven kind of just wants a friend.

HE'S THE STRAWBERRY.

SHE'S THE BISCUIT.

FAVORITE LINE, 2015

"Why won't you let me just DO THIS FOR YOU, ROSE..?!" And there it is. I knew it. I knew there was something behind this more. Hopefully this is something they build on.

Although, despite being usually emotionally-sound, Pearl's small breakdown managed to make me get emotional for a second because that's extremely feelsy.

"Rose made me feel like I was everything." This is really something I want to see them build on more, which in turn means I gotta watch more Steven Universe.

Pearl agreeing to train them both is pretty cool. At least she's being more open.

GOOD EPISODE, 10/10, WILL WATCH AGAIN.

UPCOMING PLANS![]

Currently, I'm writing a series that was heavily inspired by the likes of One Piece and Dragon Ball Z alike, along with some Fairy Tail in there, it's called King of the World (Ore ha Sekai no Ousama Dayo - 俺は世界の王様だよ) and I just showcased the very first character in that series over at my deviantART, Voltstorm-JAPAN. Throughout the month, I'll be showcasing the characters up to the very first "episode", if you will, of King of the World.

What I've been working on so far[]

In terms of King of the World, I have worked so far in advance that I have nearly half the first 10 "episodes" done. This will be a season, and they will be released every Friday until the hit of the 10 episode mark. If anyone really liked it or even enjoyed it for that matter, by that point, I'll continue on with the series, and if not, then it was something I tried. I know I've got a couple of other series that I have to kind of be just as good as and or want to have it be as captivating as. Kind of like goals? (Timeleapt is one, Teru's series, Truth of Honor that she'll be starting soon is another.) And that's practically all I've been doing as of recent. Commissions are extremely open on deviantART, about 25 points for something like the thing of the character I did, 30 for full body, 10 points for sketches. So, please, if you want to commission me on deviantART, don't be afraid to ask, PM me or note me on dA, again, my dA is Voltstorm-JAPAN. If you need to talk to me about it, I'll be available on the chat.

Until the next Volt-Talks, I'll see you later!

Bye bye!
